What is Ecological Space?

For some time I have been seeking to persuade people that when thinking about justice in relation to natural resources these are usefully conceptualized in terms of ecological space.  What exactly it means to speak of ecological space, and how the concept can be used in normative thought, are matters I seek to set out accessibly in a new Just World Institute working paper, ‘Ecological Space: the concept and its ethical significance’.  Any comments on this paper are most welcome.
